- Yes — the two profiles can and do coexist, which is exactly why one side often gets missed. A joined-up assessment is built to catch both rather than assume one cancels out the other.
- My child's school says they're "not living up to potential." Is that 2E?
- It can be one explanation among several, and it's worth looking into properly rather than guessing from a report card comment. An assessment gives you a clearer, more specific answer.
- Do we need a formal diagnosis before starting any support?
- No — tutoring, LSA placements and parent coaching can typically start in parallel with, or even before, a formal diagnosis is confirmed. We don't provide diagnosis ourselves, but we can help you understand what's going on and point you toward a referral if that's the right next step.
- Will extra academic support hold my child back?
- Good 2E support is built around protecting strengths while closing a specific gap, not slowing everything down to match the weakest area.
