Why Special Minds
The difference isn't the match. It's what happens after.
How it usually goes
- A CV lands in your inbox with no context.
- The specialist is lovely — then disappears mid-term.
- Nobody says it isn't working until it's a crisis.
- You end up relaying messages between school and therapist.
How it goes with us
- Every specialist arrives briefed on the child and the plan.
- A bench of vetted staff, and a clinical lead who owns continuity.
- Progress reviewed against real goals, and adjusted early.
- One clinical lead coordinates everyone — so you don't have to.
In their words
Families, schools and specialists.
“For the first time we had someone explain what was actually happening with our son, not just a plan handed to us.”
“As a school, what we needed wasn't more CVs — it was someone accountable when a placement wasn't working. That's exactly what we got.”
“I've worked as an LSA for years and this is the first agency where I felt clinically supported, not just placed and left.”
Who we support
20 conditions, one clinical team.
Every specialist works from the same clinical playbook, whatever your child's diagnosis or profile.
Don't see your child's diagnosis — or don't have one yet? That's genuinely fine. Tell us what you're seeing and we'll take it from there.
Before you get in touch
The questions people actually ask.
How much does support cost?
It depends on which service your child needs — LSA or shadow teacher hours, therapy sessions, or a combination. We'll give you a clear estimate after understanding your child's situation, never a fixed package.
Do I need a diagnosis before reaching out?
No. We can begin support in parallel with a formal assessment process, and adjust once a diagnosis is confirmed.
How quickly can support start?
After an initial consultation, most families begin within one to two weeks once we've matched the right specialist and confirmed availability.
Does health insurance cover any of this?
Many UAE health insurance plans contribute toward therapy hours; classroom LSA support is less commonly covered. We'll help you check what your specific plan includes.
How are your LSAs and shadow teachers vetted?
Every specialist is background-checked, credentialed, and reports into a clinical lead who reviews their work — never freelance or unsupervised.
What happens if a placement isn't working out, or a specialist is unavailable?
Our clinical lead is reachable to adjust the placement, and a bench of vetted specialists means fewer gaps when someone is unavailable — you're never left to manage it alone.
Is it free to join as a practitioner?
Yes — creating a profile and using placements, invoicing and messaging is free on the Standard tier. The job board, where postings go live, starts at AED 99/month.
Still unsure? Ask us on WhatsApp — no form, no follow-up sequence.
From the blog
Practical reading, no jargon.
Let's find the right path in.
Tell us a little about your situation and we'll suggest a realistic next step — no pressure, and no obligation to book anything.
Not ready for that?
Start with a standalone assessment.
A behavioural and educational assessment, plus a call with our Educational & Program Director to walk through what we found — and a clear recommendation, not a sales pitch.
